an interface between the Board of Founders and SALAM
staff and children
The SALAM Steering Committee seeks to accommodate the
transient nature of Indonesia’s expatriate community.
We desire to maintain a mix of Western and Indonesian professionals
to maintain a healthy balance of Western standards and
local culture.
Current Members:
Matthew Trevatt
Diploma of Business in Frontline Management, MCSE – Microsoft
Certified Systems Engineer, Electrical Trade Certificate.
Years of management experience with extensive knowledge
of international business practice. Trained in conflict
resolution, problem solving, staff development and change
management. Father of three.
Alicia Alit Trevatt
BVA Bachelor of Visual Arts. Professional photographer
with journalism major. RBH Qld General Registered Nurse
with Certificate of Critical Care and 12 years experience
in acute surgical and intensive care units, Brisbane.
Daughter of Rus and Joye Alit, founding members of Yayasan
SALAM.
Mother of three.
Ellena Elizabeth
Ellen graduated from Economic Faculty University of Indonesia,
majoring in accounting.
She began working as an external auditor in an accounting
firm which led to various Accounting and Finance jobs.
Currently employed in a large international firm based
in Bali. Has spent most of her life's career and ministry
in Jakarta and Bali, Indonesia. Ellen has had a long standing
interest and involvement in social work and charities.
Gusti David Aryana
One of SALAM Children’s Home foundation year kids;
lived at SCH 1979-1981. Now a well regarded GKII Pastor
(Christian and Missionary Alliance) and Superintendent
of GKII in Bali. David pastored a church in Singaraja for
9 years and in 2001 went on to GKII Ubud, where he is still
pastor. Father of two.
Trivena Indrawati
Trivena holds tertiary degrees in both psychology and business.
She worked as a Senior High School counsellor for five
years and has had 15 years experience on top of that
in Human Resource Management at various large national
and international firms within Indonesia. She has won
awards for her staff training programmes. Married with
no children, Trivena has always had an interest in helping
orphanage children, and has come on board to assist at
SALAM Children’s Home where she can.
